Yesterday morning (Thursday 19 February), we held our inaugural Bragging Breakfast at the Station Hotel in Hunterville.
A large number of people attended and were treated to a fantastic buffet breakfast from Bryon and Sandy Beaman. We then had the privilege to listen to a number of Rangitīkei businesses talk about recent successes and other positive news for their businesses and organisations.
A big thank you to the sponsors of the event: Property Brokers, SAJE | Web Gardners, GreenChem, Fat Rabbit and Itz a Deal for contributing towards the event, including some great spot prizes that were handed out throughout to some lucky attendees.
Businesses have been doing it tough lately and it was great to have a room full of positivity and hear some good news stories from local businesses.
Business Rangitīkei would also like to thank the Rangitīkei District Council for their continued support and for the attendance of a number of councillors and staff at the Bragging Breakfast.
Mayor Andy Watson provided an update on the recent weather event and he described how big the recovery is and how much effort is going into the cleanup.
